FEATURING CHristine Schneider
Your Body + Your Voice
A Howl Weekend Workshop
Come experience a brand new class created specifically for our community at Howl - a collaboration between Christina Schneider of The Visceral Voice and Jacob Thomas Carr, Howl founder & voice technician.
The most important skill you can have is the ability to adjust the individual components of your voice on command: intra-abdominal pressure, vocal tract shape, laryngeal registration, control of your articulators, etc. Did you know that the neuromuscular wiring needed for this level of adjustment is directly connected to your entire physical body and nervous system? This workshop will explore this relationship with live singers, each of them working one-on-one in a group setting. Observers will have the chance to experiment on their own with some of the physical drills being demonstrated. You will leave with an entirely new understanding of how your body supports your voice.
Watch Christine Schneider, trusted bodywork & voice specialist, show specifically how adjusting your physical alignment & grounding can help you achieve the exact sounds you’ve been working towards in your lessons. In this one of a kind collaboration between Christine and Jacob, they will examine the direct connection between your body and your ability to consistently achieve the vocal choices you want.
Christine leads The Visceral Voice in NYC, where her and her team provide advanced laryngeal & TMJ therapy for professional voice users. Learn more about her here at The Visceral Voice.
